I tend to approach learning about new technology in a purpose-driven and reflective way. Rather than exploring every emerging tool, I focus on those that can meaningfully enhance my work, teaching, or research. When I encounter a new technology, I usually begin by identifying a specific goal or problem it might help address such as improving collaboration, increasing accessibility, or simplifying data analysis. Once the purpose is clear, I take a hands-on, self-directed learning approach: exploring tutorials, experimenting with features, and applying the tool to small, low-risk projects before fully integrating it into my workflow.

This approach has gradually expanded the range of technologies I feel comfortable using. For instance, I started with simple productivity tools like Google Workspace and Zoom, then progressed to more advanced platforms such as NVivo for qualitative research and Canva or Miro for digital design and collaboration. Each experience built my technological self-efficacy, making me more confident in navigating unfamiliar systems.

The adaptation of  technology through intentional exploration and iterative practice has helped me balance innovation with practicality. It ensures that the tools I use genuinely support my teaching and research rather than becoming distractions or adding unnecessary complexity.
